Hot of the press. A little book about indigo and shibori based on my workshops. There are techniques, a little history of shibori, indigo, and the indigo vat recipe. I am delighted with my first book, and there are three more in the pipeline.
Designed and published in house by the talented Mr. Rawling.
Only available to purchase from my website.
Cost: £8.50 plus postage and packing. Payment by PayPal or Bank transfer.
I have to adjust this page! Scroll down for indigo fabric.
Still on a large learning curve with my renewed site and computer!
Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of resist by tying, binding, folding and clamping cloth before dyeing. Indigo is magical and I always look forward to the first day of the year warm enough for the indigo vat. I will be dipping and dyeing during the summer so do check out my Indigo Shop once in a while, you never know what will appear.
With the hot weather we experience in June I had two wonderful indigo days.
The cloth I dyed was brought back from India. A selection of lightweight calico, very soft calico and khadi cloth which is hand spun and hand woven.
