Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of resist by tyeing, binding, folding and clamping cloth before dyeing. Indigo is magical and I always look forward to the first day of the year warm enough for the indigo vat. I will be dipping and dyeing during the summer so do check out my Indigo Shop once in a while, you never know what will apppear.
With the hot weather we experience in June I had two wonderful indigo days.
The cloth I dyed was brought back from India. A selection of lightweight calico, very soft calico and khadi cloth which is hand spun and hand woven.
