The indigo vat will be in production again in May 2018 (when the weather gets warmer!)
Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of resist by tyeing, binding, folding and clamping cloth before dyeing. Indigo is magical and I always look forward to the first day of the year warm enough for the indigo vat. I will be dipping and dyeing during the summer so do check out my Indigo Shop once in a while, you never know what will apppear.
INDIGO - offerings from the vat
Fat Quarters Primissima - 100% cotton with very high thread count
Plain indigo in ranging from mid blue, dark blue or mottled £4.5o
Brush strokes patterned with soy wax batik £5.00
Stripes - mark making on cloth with soya wax
Sea - Cloth is bound tightly with string around a pole. The fabric compressed ready for dyeing in the vat. Size 3o x 92cm £10.00
